The Scar That Collars My Eternal Soul
By Sharako LunarWolf

My life is suffering: the cut of purified silver, slicing into me
Burning like a thousand hells into my soul.
I am told the Great Spirit has a reason for everything.
What sin could I have committed in my first hours of life,
To be punished with the cutting of my fruit.
Left with the eternal mark that will never fade
Left damaged and separated from my godly image.
I try to speak with an unrelenting voice,
Whether I find it or not,
To prevent this unthinkable crime from occurring to my brothers.
Purify all the male masses They say
Cut the fruit before he goes bad
Circumcise his mind from the first deadly sin,
Forever binding him to the covenant:
Circumcise his body for everlasting chastity
And throw your son into the eternal pits to suffer
Violence breeds Violence.
I cry. I shout. I stand, and I am forever unclean, betrayed by those sworn to protect me.
I too, was cast in the pit, by the masters of my humanity
Left with the eternal torment of my loss.
