Contest entries must be received by midnight on Saturday night,
October 15th, 2011. Winners will be
announced October 31st.
This contest is for new
work authored by the entrant, except for the "previously
published" category. Entry is free. All legitimate entries will be posted in the TLC Online
Gallery when received (anonymously if preferred). The
entrant may request removal of the work from the gallery after
the contest closes. Winners will be included in an edition
of the TLC Tugger audio podcast which will be available online
in perpetuity. Entrant retains all other control of and
rights to the entry.
General:
Entries should be roughly between 0.5 and 5 minutes long and
related to circumcision, the foreskin, restoration, human
rights, or intactness. Entries promoting violence or
discrimination, or those showing very little effort may be
rejected at the discretion of TLC Tugger. Note that the
TLC Tugger web site and podcast are not for adults
only.
A person submitting multiple entries will receive entry gifts
for up to three entries, but will be awarded no more than one top
prize. TLC$ are worth their face value toward any
purchase from TLCTugger.com, Inc., including foreskin restoration
devices, clothing, bumper stickers, CDs, and ebay auctions, and
can be applied to the purchase price, tax, and shipping
costs. TLC$ may be sold or given to others. The
winner of a cash prize may choose to take double the amount in
TLC$ if desired.

and your parody of it) and if you like, a few sentences of
biographical data. If the original song has a lot of
verses, cutting a few for time is highly recommended.
Songs published on the TLC
Tugger Audio archive are eligible to be parodied, but
otherwise it is best to stick with familiar works. Entries
will be judged on how well they poignantly and compellingly make
an entertaining and musically exciting statement about
intactness. Freeware MIDI files or commercial karaoke
backing tracks are acceptable, but will not receive maximum
points for musicianship and will be held to a higher standard
for having a running time appropriate to the lyrical
content.

Best Song Parody (lyrics only)
Send typed song lyrics (the original song and your parody of

Best Previously Published Work
This is a chance to call our attention to an existing work,
whether it is a song published by a popular artist, a poem that
is published online or in a book available through Amazon.com,
or something authored by the entrant that has been published
elsewhere before 2009. Submit a link to the work online
(for YouTube videos),
or send an MP3 file to RonJLow@Comcast.net
(10Mb or less), post a YouTube video, or mail a CD or cassette to TLC
Tugger. In the case of songs available on iTunes, the
first submitter of an audio file will be considered the entrant,
and typed lyrics would be
appreciated.
Entries will be judged on how well they
poignantly and compellingly make an entertaining and persuasive
statement about intactness. When multiple entrants
submit the same work, only the earliest qualifying entry will be eligible
for the top prize. Entries submitted in previous
years' contests are ineligible.
Point Allocation:
Appropriate running time - 10%, Poignant/Compelling - 45%,
Entertaining/Persuasive - 45%.
Best Student Submission
This is merely an extra bonus available to high-school and
college student entrants to encourage their participation.
It does not affect eligibility for the other prizes. This
prize will only be awarded if at least one bona fide student
enters the contest. The winner of this prize may or may
not win one of the other prizes. To enter, assert your
student status with your entry and be prepared to prove it if
you are named best student submission.
